Job Description
Under the supervision of the Deputy Director of PEVR, the candidate will be responsible for: assisting and supporting current staff with pre-qualifying all vendors and facilitating the creation of the micro-PQL list; liaising with PLI and the Procurement Department on the vendor integrity process; assist with reviewing vendor responsibility memos from the OIG; and working with vendors to request and review request for supplemental information based on the screening findings.
-Support the unit with pre-qualification of all micro vendors and creation and maintenance of micro-PQL list.-Assist with administrating the process of initiating/submitting VNC requests with NYCHA's Office of Inspector General for NYCHA contracts.-Assist with process to update Datawarehouse APEX with OIG submissions to keep track of VNC requests submitted to the OIG.-Notify vendors by email of corrective actions/responses required to mitigate VNC background check findings issued by NYCHA's Office of Inspector General (OIG).-Research different governmental agencies websites to verify whether vendors have complied with NYS Tax filings, IRS tax filings and Environmental Control Board violations, etc.-Follow-up with vendors for responses to the VNC findings.-Help create vendors profiles in NYCHA Warehouse Database.-Research Procurement and Sourcing Solution Portal for various information regarding vendors.-May provide vendors with assistance/clarification on what is needed to respond to VNC background check.
Additional Information1. Due to the existence of a civil service list, candidates must have permanent civil service status in the title of Principal Administrative Associate to apply.2.For NYCHA employees, employees applying for transfer, promotional, title or level change opportunities must have served a period of one year at current location and in current title and level(if applicable).3.INTERAGENCY TRANSFERS INTO NYCHA OF THOSE PERMANENT IN TITLE ARE NOT PERMITTED IN THE FACE OF AN ACTIVE AND VIABLE NYCHA PROMOTION LIST ORPREFERRED LIST FOR THE SAME TITLE.

Qualifications
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and three years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience, one year of which must have been in an administrative capacity or supervising staff performing clerical/administrative work of more than moderate difficulty; or2. An associate degree or 60 semester credits from an accredited college and four years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience including one year of the administrative supervisory experience described in "1" above; or3. A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and five years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience including one year of the administrative supervisory experience as described in "1" above;4. Education and/or experience equivalent to "1", "2", or "3" above. However, all candidates must possess the one year of administrative or supervisory experience as described in "1" above. Education above the high school level may be substituted for the general clerical/administrative experience (but not for the one year of administrative or supervisory experience described in "1" above) at a rate of 30 semester credits from an accredited college for 6 months of experience up to a maximum of 3½ years.
