Senior Accountant

Synerfac is seeking a Senior Accountant for our client in Virginia Beach, VA. Our client provides on site power integration for large scale centers.
Responsibilities:- Assists in preparing monthly balance sheets, income statements, and other required financial reports.- Maintains the general ledger through the monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.- Processes accounts payable invoices, sets up new accounts, initiates payments, and responds to vendor inquiries.- Reconciles bank accounts monthly, verifies deposits, and maintains daily cash activity for all bank accounts.- Issues customer invoices and monitors accounts receivable aging.- Performs payroll functions.- Participates in physical inventory reconciliations.- Maintains the fixed assets ledger and depreciation calculations.- Prepares job costing analysis and profit margin analysis.- Assists with internal and external audits; gathers necessary account information and documents to fulfill audit requests.- Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.- Participates in various department-wide initiatives- Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.- 6+ years of related accounting experience- Experience in Accounting in a manufacturing or industrial environment.- Experience in financial reporting, general ledger accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll.- Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.- Excellent analytical and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software and accounting software.- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
