We are searching for a Graphic Designer on behalf of our client. This is a 6-month contract assignment. This position may be extended. The scope of this project involves a junior-level graphic designer position with a strong foundation in Adobe Creative Cloud applications, focusing on a balance between graphic production, design, and team support tasks.
The designer will produce and design various print and digital collateral, support senior team members, and manage tasks within the project management system.
Key Deliverables : Graphic Production (approx. 33%): Perform graphic production tasks efficiently, ensuring high-quality outputs for print collateral, ads, and digital graphics. Design Work (approx. 33%): Create visually appealing and effective designs for various marketing materials.
This includes enhancing creativity in their work, as the role seeks someone who can contribute to innovative design beyond basic production. Team and Project Management Support (approx. 33%): Assist in team tasks, manage personal tasks within the project management system, and support senior members with ongoing projects.
Location: Minneapolis Minnesota 55401
The position is a hybrid of in- (Tues through Thurs) and working from home. (Mon & Fri. )
Essential Responsibilities
Creating Designs: Experience using software like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesignDesigning layouts: Select colors, images, and typefaces to create layouts for print, web, or multimediaProduction: Interpret feedback and make appropriate edits to existing materialsPresenting concepts: Present design concepts to clients and incorporate their feedback into final designsReviewing Designs and Proofreading: Review designs for errors before publishing or printingFlexibility: Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and quality standardsCollaborate with others: Work with communications teams to meet deadlines and stay within budgetStay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, leveraging insights to drive creative innovation and differentiationMaintaining files: Update and maintain accurate electronic file management with internal file storage proceduresPreferred Skills
Strong background in design production and page layoutPrevious experience with brand, marketing, and/or communications teamsMinimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Design, or a related field.3 - 5 years of experience in creative roles in B2B/B2C industries, with a strong background in design production.Ability to travel to and work in downtown Minneapolis 3 days a weekCompelling portfolio showcasing visual design skills and ability to create clear and engaging design materials.Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating visually impactful materials.Must have a link to their online portfolio.
