We are searching for a Contracts Manager lll on behalf of our client. This is a 1 yr. contract assignment. The person will be working within the commercial area within the supply chain organization as it relates to the expansion of our power generation fleet. The client is involved in a large growth portfolio of new power generation, which includes gas turbines, wind, solar and battery storage.
This position will be supporting the commercial aspects of those power generation initiatives, which includes the management of existing contracts, large construction contracts as well as equipment supply contracts.
In addition to implementing and starting new contracts, which includes requests for proposals that will be issued to prospective suppliers and contractors, construction contractors, working through a bit of evaluation process using standard processes, negotiating contracts, and then administering and managing the contracts to life cycle.
Portfolio/revenue size: 300-500 MM. Each person is roughly responsible for 3 projects at a time.

Responsibilities
There will be some anticipated travel within the Denver, Colorado area.Will be supporting new and existing power generation projects in and around the greater Denver area.Travel will vary on the stage of the project. Oftentimes the projects are in predevelopment stage, which involves coordination and close working relationships with engineering and construction managers within our local downtown Denver facility, however, as the projects progress to actual field construction, there will be some level of effort maybe a day or two a week depending on the status of the project out at the construction site.Will mainly work with internal business, however, may negotiate contracts with external vendors/suppliers - equipment vendors as well as different types of construction contractors or maintenance contractors, heavy maintenance contractors.The main collaboration will come from the business unit area where they will work with engineers, construction folks, project managers, cost controls, schedule controls, etc.Requirements:
10-12 years of experience in the construction/power generation industry.Must have experience with large complex agreements who have had enough experience working with the legal terms to effectively negotiate them or to be able to manage the complexities of a large contract.Must have the commercial acumen to understand construction contracts and different elements that reduce the company's risk.SAP, Coupa (contract management).

Focus on Industrial/commercial construction experience
