HOW YOU'LL HELP DRIVE THE FUTURE OF NATURAL GAS?

The Learning and Development Specialist is responsible for building a culture of learning in the organization by aligning learning and development solutions with the overall business strategy. This position will be responsible to design, develop and deliver business-focused, efficient and innovative learning and development programs and experiences, thoughtfully designed to help our team members and leadership best serve at every stage of their career.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required.At least five (5) years of Human Resources, Leadership Development or related experience required with at least three years specializing in adult learning principles, leadership development, organizational development.PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESDevelops and deploys various types of team member focused leadership development materials, including eLearning, facilitator guides, performance coach support tools, and job aids for multiple delivery methods. Manages projects and design instruction for large scale content development initiatives across all elements of the candidate and employee life cycle. Prioritize learning and development projects, estimate work efforts, and determine staff and resource requirements.Reviews, assesses, administers selection assessments/testing, making recommendations on enhancements as appropriate. Facilitate training and develop strategies to help team members become better trainers and facilitators.Produce actionable metrics to improve the effectiveness of our leadership development program through data analysis and reporting. Utilizes technical expertise and judgement to solve problems. Leverages technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. Responsible for the performance management full cycle administration for the company. Supports and performs skills gap analysis to identify training needs per department, team and individuals including reskilling and upskilling needs.Act as liaison for the LMS platform and participate in learning system development and curation of content in partnership with the other Emera affiliates. Act as administrator of Kudos platform (recognition system) and respond to all team member inquiries.Develops, deploys, and manages the Employee Engagement Survey full cycle process across the organization including reporting, tracking and trending.Establishes and maintains relationships with external educational institutions, training vendors, organizational consultants and other local and industry leaders to meet business needs.Collaborate closely with the HR Team to design and deliver effective training sessions for new hires. This includes creating and updating training materials, conducting workshops, and ensuring that new employees have access to the necessary resources and tools for their roles. Gather feedback from new hires to continuously improve the onboarding experience and ensure a smooth transition into the company.Stays abreast of the latest developments in adult learning trends and principles, changes in learning theory, and developments in learning technologies. Embraces and implements tools and methodologies to enhance learning experiences for our team members.Other duties as assigned.

STORM DUTY REQUIREMENTS

TECO Energy and its companies serve a role in providing critical services to our community during an emergency. Team members are required to participate in the response/recovery activities related to emergencies/disasters to maintain service to our TECO Energy customers. Team members are required to work in their normal job duties or other assigned activities. Proper compensation will be made in accordance with the company's rules and procedures.
