WORK SCHEDULE
Full time variable days per week.
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
Our RADIOLOGY/IMAGING SERVICES RNs provide radiology care for patients from all areas of UWMC, inpatient and outpatient. RN's who work in our department provide procedural care including IV starts, conscious sedation monitoring and nursing assessment.
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
Function as a liaison between patients, physicians and other healthcare providers
Become a subject expert in client teaching of recent or future Radiology care
Knowledgeable on full cycle nursing care in the Radiology field
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
This individual will provide excellent nursing care to patients in the Radiology Department
Perform the charge nurse role as needed, providing clear direction to staff and coordination of department flow and nursing resources
Will coordinate processes such as quality improvement, scheduling, staff development, workgroup and department meetings and will act as a positive role model to staff
REQUIREMENTS
This position requires at least two years previous Radiology experience and or in a Procedural Area, Emergency or ICU.
Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Washington
Charge, supervisory experience
BLS certification within six months of hire
