Mechanical / Electro-Mechanical Technician
Job Description
Day shift (7am-3:30pm) electro-mechanical assemblers needed for military and defense facility in Santa Ana/Costa Mesa. Pay will be based on experience and interview but will be between $23-$34/hour with overtime available during the week and on Saturdays.
Building different Aerospace products. (Drones and other products)
MUST BE A GO-GETTER. Looking for candidates who love buildings things - cars, stereos, computers, circuit boards, etc.
If you are proficient and go above and beyond they will offer permanent positions after the contract!!!
Responsibilities
Perform mechanical and electrical assemblies in a manufacturing setting.
Use common hand tools and power tools such as pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, depth micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, pressure gauges, multimeters, test boxes, or specialized test equipment.
Read wiring diagrams and follow assembly instructions.
Communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) with engineering and production teams.
Rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment.
Possibility for overtime and weekend shifts as needed.
Essential Skills
4+ years working in a manufacturing setting (aerospace, electronics, or medical industry preferred).
Proficiency with common hand tools and power tools.
Proficiency with computer use (standard browser, word processing applications).
Working knowledge of common electrical components.
Ability to read wiring diagrams and follow assembly instructions.
Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience mechanically assembling complex electro-mechanical assemblies, high-quality wire harnesses, test racks, and junction boxes.
Hand soldering and component fabrication skills.
Ability to perform validation and testing of various electronic components using equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and test racks.
Experience with common air-frame construction techniques such as rivets, mechanical fasteners, and nut plates.
Electronic box assembly troubleshooting and writing detailed issue tickets for failures.
Running functional checkouts and tests, diagnosing issues discovered during these processes.
Experience testing and running RF systems.
PCBA and troubleshooting.
