Description
Job Summary:
To fabricate a variety of production parts using fiberglass, plastic, or other materials as necessary. May
be required to assist lower grade Operators.
Job Responsibilities:
Works from shop routings, oral and written instructions and established shop practices to plan
and perform fabrication sequences from plastic and/or fiberglass parts.
Operates power equipment such as saws, routers, sanders, drills, and buffers.
Uses simple hand tools and some measuring instruments such as a scale, micrometer, and
caliper.
Maintains shop records and assures production parts are fabricated according to production
schedules.
Assures adequate supply of bonding agents, plastic and/or fiberglass parts and other required
production items by notifying supervision when reorder is necessary.
Responsible only for own work.
Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications
Education:
Requires a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification.
Experience:
Requires a minimum one year of diversified plastic and/or fiberglass forming and finishing experience.
Working Conditions:
Somewhat disagreeable working conditions due to intermittent exposure to heat, fumes, and dust.
Kansas Tax Credit:
