License: Valid state license Certifications: Epic system proficiency required Must-Have: - Epic experience - Competence with External Ventricular Drains (EVDs), bolts, and Intracranial Pressure (ICP) management - Familiarity with trauma and complex surgical patients Job Description: - Provide specialized care in the Surgical and Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit - Manage a 50/50 split of neuro and surgical patient populations - Care for patients with conditions related to major elective and emergency surgical procedures, multi-trauma, traumatic brain injury, spinal injury, stroke, seizure, sepsis, multi-organ system failure, and hemodynamic instability - Perform comprehensive physical assessments, intensive monitoring, and hemodynamic monitoring Skills Required: - ICP monitoring via EVD and bolt - Management of spinal drains/catheters and brain oxygen monitoring - Artic Sun therapy and continuous EEG - Handling intra-arterial catheters and non-invasive cardiac output - Mechanical ventilation and Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) - Monitoring of reconstructive flaps and massive blood transfusions On-Unit Procedures Supported: - Placement of arterial lines, central lines, and ICP monitors - External ventricular drains, SEPS drains, and bedside bronchoscopy - Abdominal washouts, tracheostomy, and percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy tube placement - Lumbar punctures, chest tubes, and pigtail drains Join a dynamic team providing critical care services to a diverse patient population, focusing on life-threatening conditions and complex surgical needs.
