Job DescriptionJob Title: Occupational Therapist - Pediatrics
Job Specialty: Pediatric Feeding and Developmental Disabilities
Job Duration: 30 Weeks
Shift: 4x9 (Tuesday - Friday), 1x4 (Saturday)
Guaranteed Hours: Not specified
Experience:- Minimum 2 years of experience required; 3 years preferred.- Experience in assessment and treatment of pediatric patients with feeding/eating difficulties and varied developmental disabilities/challenges is required.- Experience with swallowing disorders preferred.- Experience with patients aged 18 months and older is required; ages 8 months and older is preferred.
License:- California Occupational Therapy License or eligible to obtain if licensed in another state (takes 6-8 weeks to obtain after all required documents are received).
Certifications:- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an AOTA accredited program, OR Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an AOTA accredited program if graduated prior to 2004.- BLS certification (AHA).
Must-Have:- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
Job Description:- Provide clinical care for pediatric patients with feeding/eating difficulties and varied developmental disabilities.- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for pediatric patients with feeding and eating difficulties.- Work with patients aged 18 months and older, addressing general developmental occupational therapy needs.- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care.- Complete orientation modules (non-billable) prior to start.- Required to work 2 out of 3 holidays.- Comply with facility regulations and vaccination policies.- Participate in facility's floating policy, including NICU if applicable, with mileage reimbursement for travel to satellite locations.- Respond flexibly to holiday and time-off scheduling needs.
