In this role, you will collaborate with the team, maintain, and improve processes, systems and the manufacturing of the products produced in the facility. Further you will analyze and recommend current and future systems procedures and equipment needs based on manufacturing requirements.What you can look forward to in this role:Report section status and monitors and audits related metrics Drives root cause corrective action projects and continuous improvementLeads section status reporting and monitors / audits section metricsLeads the creation, implementation and training of standard work proceduresManage outbound shipments for multiple customer types, including processing, systems, and required documentation for overseas shipmentsMonitor and improve shop floor safety, aggressively eliminating unsafe processesAssures fixtures, tooling and processes are followed to meet production schedulesIncreases production efficiency through continuous improvement and waste eliminationA successful candidate in this role will showcase their skills in:Manufacturing Safety: Knowledge of manufacturing safety; ability to identify work-related hazards and perform necessary activities to meet regulatory requirements for the safety and protection of workers, environment and site.Production Training: Knowledge of approaches, tools and techniques for delivering formal and informal training on the safe and efficient operation of production machinery; ability to conduct effective formal and situation-specific training.Talent Management: Knowledge of human resources and talent management processes; ability to lead, motivate, evaluate, and reward employees at the workplace.Top Candidates for this position may also have:Supervisory or team lead experienceThorough knowledge of lean manufacturing processes and tools, machine shop operations, equipment and processes Strong teamwork, interpersonal and communication skillsExhibit critical thinking, analytical skills, and initiativeDemonstrated a record of strong systems knowledge/skills.Demonstrated knowledge of order to delivery, engineering and/or manufacturing principlesAdditional Information:The primary location for this position is Sanford, NC.Domestic relocation assistance is not availableSponsorship is not availableHow we support you (Employee benefits)Our goal at Caterpillar is for you to have a rewarding career including the potential to advance your career into operations leadership and other advanced manufacturing positions.
