Restaurant ManagerJob OverviewThe Lead Host/Hostess at The Ben, Autograph Collection Hotel, plays a crucial role in creating an exceptional dining experience for our guests. As the first point of contact, you will greet and seat guests with warmth and professionalism, ensuring seamless operations and effective communication within the team. You will also manage reservations, organize seating flow, and assist in training and supporting host/hostess staff to maintain high service standards.Key Responsibilities
Guest Relations:
Welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner, assisting them with reservations and managing waitlists effectively.Seating and Reservation Management:
Utilize reservation systems to maintain an organized seating chart, optimize table turnover, and manage guest flow.Team Leadership:
Provide guidance and support to the host/hostess team. Assist with training new team members, setting an example in hospitality, and addressing guest inquiries and special requests.Communication and Coordination:
Coordinate with the restaurant and bar staff to ensure smooth and timely seating. Communicate guest preferences, special occasions, and VIPs to the service team.Organization and Cleanliness:
Maintain a neat and organized host station, ensuring the area is stocked with menus, guest lists, and other necessary materials. Ensure cleanliness of entrance areas.Guest Satisfaction:
Respond to guest feedback with professionalism and courtesy, striving to exceed their expectations and ensure repeat visits.Perform Other Duties as Requested
Flexibly assist with other responsibilities as assigned by management to support smooth operations.Qualifications
Experience:
Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role, with at least one year as a host/hostess in a fine-dining or upscale restaurant preferred.Skills:Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in reservation and POS systems (e.g., OpenTable, MICROS).
Attributes:Positive attitude and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.Ability to stay calm under pressure and adapt to high-volume service periods.Strong sense of teamwork and leadership.

Schedule:
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.Physical Requirements:
