Details Client NameUNM Hospital Job TypeTravel OfferingAllied ProfessionTherapy SpecialtyRRT Job ID29301226 Job TitleRespiratory / Neuro Diagnostics - RRT-NICU @ University of New Mexico Hospital Weekly Pay$2540.0 Shift Details ShiftDay - 12x4 - 07AM Scheduled Hours48 Job Order Details Start Date12/02/2024 End Date06/02/2025 Duration26 Week(s) Job Description Job Title: Respiratory & Neuro Diagnostics Specialist Job Specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (RRT-NICU) Job Duration: 13-26 weeks Shift: Day 4x12-Hour (06:00 - 18:30) Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week (Facility reserves the right to call off up to 3 times throughout a 13-week assignment) Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time applicants accepted License: Must have or be eligible to acquire New Mexico License Certifications: RRT, BLS, ACLS, NRP Must-Have: - NICU, Pediatric Critical Care experience- Trauma Level I experience- Skills such as Endotracheal Tube/Suctioning, Extubation, Nasal Airway Placement/Suctioning, Oral Airway Placement, Oropharyngeal Suctioning, Sputum Specimen Collection, Tracheostomy Suctioning, Pulmonary Toileting, ABG Interpretation Job Description: - Provide advanced respiratory care for neonatal and pediatric patients in a Level I Trauma Center.- Expected to float to adult units as needed to meet facility requirements.- Work within a teaching and children's hospital, engaging in short-term acute care.- Handle an average daily census of 6-10 ventilators.- Weekend shifts required as per unit needs; typically no more than 3 weekends in a row.- Open to practitioners with a pending New Mexico license at the time of application and completion of compliance requirements.- COVID-19 vaccination is required; religious and medical exemptions accepted with appropriate documentation.- Facilitate pediatric and neonatal respiratory care including suctioning, extubation, and specimen collection.- Interpret arterial blood gases and perform necessary therapeutic procedures.- Participate in department orientation, annual modules, and ongoing professional development.- Ensure compliance with facility guidelines and complete required modules, with billable time up to 4 hours during orientation.- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care. Note: The position strictly adheres to distance and travel rules; locals within 75 miles are not eligible. Personal transportation is required. Compliance with all vaccination and certification requirements is mandatory.
