What you’ll be doing…
Verizon Business is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Product Manager to join our IoT Solutions team. As a key driver of our IoT product success, you will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle management of sensor-related products and services. You will ensure Verizon's IoT products remain competitive and drive revenue growth by working closely with business sponsors, technical teams, and customers to identify key pain points and collaboratively design and build solutions that delight the end-user and then partner with sales and operations to meet the product revenue targets.
Product Lifecycle Ownership: Lead all stages of the product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and beyond, ensuring alignment with market demands and company goals.
Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify customer needs, emerging trends, and competitive landscapes, leveraging insights to inform product strategy and decisions.
Roadmap Definition & Execution: Define and manage the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and other key teams to ensure seamless product development and successful launches.
Performance Measurement: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and inform continuous improvement efforts.
Agile Product Development: Define MVPs, prioritize product backlogs, and manage strategic de-scoping to achieve rapid feedback cycles. Write user stories and create A/B testing backlogs for iterative product enhancements.
Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively and manage expectations with business sponsors, company executives, external partners, and customers.
Technology & Innovation: Possess a strong understanding of IoT devices, networks, cloud/edge computing, and SaaS applications to inform product development. Stay ahead of the curve by researching emerging technologies and industry trends, ensuring our products remain competitive and innovative.
Partnership Development: Identify, structure, and execute vendor and strategic partnerships to enhance product offerings and address market needs.
Business Strategy: Define business models, pricing strategies, channel strategies, target segments, customer profiles, execution plans, and financial business cases for solutions and verticals.
Customer-Centric Approach: Embrace a digital-first mindset to enhance the customer experience throughout the entire product lifecycle.
Content Creation: Develop compelling collateral, FAQs, white papers, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
What we’re looking for…
You’ll need to have:
Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
Experience with business products and/or IoT Solutions.
Experience with directly or cross-functionally launching new products and managing a portfolio of products.
Experience with business models and/or business cases.
Experience with Marketing, Business to Business, and/or Enterprise Sales.
Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
An MBA and/or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
Technical skills to work including a strong understanding of IoT technologies including hardware, software, and connectivity solutions.
Knowledge of these emerging technologies (AI/ML, AR/VR, blockchain, robotics, IoT, etc.).
Knowledge of products and technologies across Verizon and how they may strategically align with projects.
Industry knowledge in Retail, Hospitality, Healthcare, Financial Services, Agriculture, Logistics/Supply Chain.
Experience with JIRA, Rally, Confluence, Figma, and/or similar product management software.
Ability to strategically think with a deep understanding of IoT technologies, a strong business acumen, and the ability to translate market needs into innovative solutions.
Experience with full-lifecycle ownership of product management.
Experience with business and partnership development with technology companies.
Ability to conceptualize new, innovative applications/services and justify design, build, and/or buy decisions using solid ROI analysis.
Knowledge of business objectives and be creative enough to help define what we build.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Ability to take ownership and be accountable for the quality of all deliverables.
Ability to lead/supervise multiple projects, also performs project management activities such as planning, sizing, configuration, resources, and scheduling.
Ability to conceptualize and develop resolutions to complex market challenges and customer use cases that require the use of creativity.
Ability to make decisions that impact projects and staff members.
Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
Experience leading or participating in panel discussions.
Holds patents or has published industry papers/documents/literature.

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more.
