The Atlas Search teams are building the cloud-based distributed systems software responsible for the core components of search and the lifecycle of search indexes.As a Staff Technical Program Manager, you will own the successful delivery of complex, cross-functional engineering efforts for Atlas Search. You will partner closely with key Engineering, Product, and Product Design stakeholders to develop and execute against our overall product vision and business objectives, uncover solutions to technical challenges, and provide data-driven insights that power strategic decision-making.This position is based out of our San Francisco office, with the possibility of working from another MongoDB office or remotely for the right candidate.The right candidate for this role will be:Experienced with 10+ years of working in an engineering organization leading complex cross-functional technical programsExperienced with 5+ years of Software development background, preferably with large scale distributed systems and Cloud servicesAble to partner with technical stakeholders in methodically breaking down engineering challenges to deliver against abstract goalsAble to participate in technical design discussions and summarize trade-offs, outcomes, and next stepsSkilled at communicating across a diverse set of engineers and stakeholdersHyper-organized and capable of coordinating across multiple independent work streams and organizationsA role model for effective execution practices, driven by an attuned sense of priority and urgencyAble to leverage their experience in program delivery to influence improvements to our tools, operations, architectureTrained in working with project tracking software (e.g. Jira, Rally, MS Project)Familiar with MongoDB or a comparable technologyInterested in business automation work such as scripting in Python, Google Apps Script and Slack

Success Measures:

In 3 months you will be ramped on the Atlas Search product and engineering roadmapIn 6 months you will own and drive critical initiatives across the Search portfolioIn 12 months you will be leading multiple high impact efforts and integrating improvements to frameworks for managing critical programs at MongoDB

Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB's total compensation and benefits package. Other benefits for eligible employees may include: equity, participation in the employee stock purchase program, flexible paid time off, 20 weeks fully-paid gender-neutral parental leave, fertility and adoption assistance, 401(k) plan, mental health counseling, access to transgender-inclusive health insurance coverage, and health benefits offerings. Please note, the base salary range listed below and the benefits in this paragraph are only applicable to U.S.-based candidates.MongoDB's base salary range for this role in the U.S. is: $115,000—$226,000 USD
