Description
This position is responsible for working directly with all members of the tax, accounting and finance teams to manage the global tax matters of Global Experience Specialists (GES) and will report to the SVP of Accounting. GES operates globally in North America, Europe, and the Middle East.Responsibilities:Review/prepare the consolidated income tax provision (ASC 740). This includes the impact of both US and non-US tax implications for the global consolidated group.Review/prepare/manage tax account analysis and reconciliations.Review/prepare/manage tax related disclosures for financial statement purposes.Review/prepare/manage consolidated federal corporate tax returns.Review/prepare/manage state corporate tax returns.Manage and develop staff.Ability to take direction and work collaboratively with peers.Demonstrate great team spirit and strong work ethic.Manage time constraints and deadlines to ensure the timely completion of projects.Working with both US and foreign tax advisors to ensure global compliance with financial reporting and tax law requirements.
Secondary responsibilities include the following:Review/prepare non-income tax returns that may include directing both internal and external resources with indirect tax compliance.Review/prepare tax workpapers to support annual financial statements.Utilization and documentation consistent with SOX controls.Process improvement measures and initiativesPreparing tax research documentation/memos.
Qualifications:The successful candidate will have:CPA or CPA candidate.Understanding and experience with ASC 740 and income tax compliance which includes understanding both US and foreign tax matters.5-10 years of relevant experience with Big 4 accounting.Detail oriented mind set, curious attitude, with strong accounting and analytical skills.Strong communication skills (verbal and written) to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel, across functions, and with external contacts.Master's Degree in TaxationMultinational tax experienceIncome Tax or Provision Software experience
