Location: Newark, NJ 07102 (Hybrid role)
Duration: 03 to 06 months contract to hire role

General Skill Profile in order of preference: Power BI, SQL, Python, Power Automate, Tableau
What You Will Do:Create Power BIand Tableau Dashboards to meet complex user requirements and demand.Performancetuning and aesthetics customization to meet user expectations.Develop andimplement design best practices to ensure a seamless user-experience forbusiness stakeholders.Transformcomplex reporting needs into technical specifications, includingcalculations, custom groups, parameters, filtering criteria, aggregationsetc. Breakdowncomplex requirements into user stories, and drive delivery with theproduct teamWorkwith the business on managing Power BI & Tableau user permissions,performance troubleshooting, and managing general help inquiries.Develop and TestPython and Custom API-related Workflows to build on the capabilities ofthe Power BI and Tableau Platform.Workwith Tableau for support, ticket resolution, feature requests and defecttracking.Demonstrate strong backend platformexpertise and front-end consultancy capabilityRecommendbest practices from both a technical and process perspective as related toPower BI and Tableau development.Groomlarge datasets for optimal performance and maintainabilityTroubleshootissues as they occur, identify criticality and impact, and provideappropriate workaroundsWhat YouWill Need:
5+years of Power BI application development experience includingvisualizations, parameters, and report optimization3+years of Tableau application development experience, includingvisualizations, parameters, and report optimization5+years of hands-on SQL Experience3+years of working on Power BI or Tableau Administration Responsibilities(Permissions, Server Maintenance and upgrades, Monitoring)3+years working in Python, Pandas Data Frames, API-driven workflows.Expertise across multiple BI platforms anddata visualization tools include Tableau and Power BIStrong experience with performance tuningbusiness intelligence and database platforms for maximum performance ineach technical configurationExpertise with multiple database platformsincluding relational databases (ie. SQL Server and Oracle) as well ascloud-based data warehouses such as Microsoft Fabric and SnowflakeExperience with both server anddesktop-based data visualization toolsExpertise with managing and mining verylarge internal and external data setsExperience with sourcing external datasets to meet business needsDemonstrated experience with testingbusiness hypotheses, asking the right questions to provoke thoughts frombusiness users and ultimately using data to test and validate hypothesisVery strong experience with quicklybuilding data visualization worksheets and dashboards to analyze, view andinterpret data setsHands-on experience with Python forbuilding automations for business processesDemonstrated experience with usingpredictive, prescriptive and descriptive data analytics to test, questionand solve business problemsHave a consulting mindset when workingwith internal clients across multiple departments of the organizationIdeally familiar with financial servicesdatasets across investment, product and distribution functions - notessential but highly desirableBachelor'sdegree in computer science or equivalent, with a strong preference in aData-centric major.
A reasonable, good faith estimate of the minimum andmaximum hourly wage for this position is $70/hr.to 80/hr.
