www.mtsi-va.com .Responsibilities:Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Leads system security engineering and program protection activities within the key areas of cybersecurity, anti-tamper, software assurance, supply chain exploitation, and threat/vulnerability analysis.Develops, coordinates, and facilitates program risk assessments and cyber test events.Assists various program teams in capturing and refining security engineering and program protection requirements, integrating requirements into system designs, and ensuring program compliance with government requirements.Coordinates system security engineering and program protection activities with internal program teams, leadership, and external organizations.Performs system security evaluations and security architecture analyses to evaluate the technical implementation of the security design, cyber survivability, and cyber resilience.Develops, reviews, and analyzes various system security engineering and program protection documents and presentation materials.Conducts risk assessments, analyzes results, and recommends mitigations/countermeasures to address defined risks.Supports test and evaluation activities of system security engineering and program protection activities.Ensures system security engineering and program protection activities/controls enacted to protect the system are continually assessed.Writing acquisition documents such as cybersecurity plans, program protection plans, and critical information lists.Operates in a multi-level classified environment with an intimate understanding of SAP and TS SCI security procedures.Guiding and verifying defense contractors’ work against program requirements and goals, including participation in technical discussions, trade studies and working groups, and conducting research on industry best practices for potential implementation into weapon system technology.Interfacing with Program Managers to explain security requirements, risks, and mitigations relative to their priorities of cost and schedule to ensure an acceptable risk tolerance.Enforcing the design and implementation of trusted relationships among external systems and architectures within and outside the authorization boundaries for weapon systems.Assessing proposed changes to customer information systems, weapon systems, their operational environment, and mission needs for impacts to cybersecurity and continued compliance with cybersecurity requirements.Employing best practices when implementing security requirements for information systems including software engineering methodologies, system/security engineering principles, secure design, secure architecture, and secure coding techniques.Keeping abreast of current and new security technologies, threats, and vulnerabilities.Recommending industry best practices and recommendations for maintaining cybersecurity resilience when clear cybersecurity guidance is not available.Participating in acquisition meetings (i.e., Program Management Reviews (PMR), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), Critical Design Reviews (CDR), etc.), Concept of Operations (CONOP) working groups, change boards, technical exchange meetings and other similar activities.Designing and developing security requirements for Information Systems (IS), Platform Information Technology (PIT), and Information Technology (IT) Services in accordance with the Joint Security Implementation Guide (JSIG).Qualifications:Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity Engineering or other relevant degree and 7+ years relevant experience; OR Master's degree and 7+ years relevant experience; OR Ph.D. and 3+ years relevant experience.Active secret clearance and ability to obtain top secret required; current TS with SCI eligibility preferred.US citizen.Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing to all levels of company and customer staff and management.Desired Qualifications:Demonstrated program protection expertise supporting Air Force weapons systems is highly desired including writing cybersecurity plans, program protection plans, and/or critical information lists.#LI-DB1#MTSI
