Read further to learn how you could help make great things possible not only in your community, but around the world.In the role of Distribution Project Engineer, we'll count on you to:

Work under the direction of Project Manager(s).Conduct analyses to develop design options, perform modeling and/or calculations, and prepare design sketches and concept drawings for medium voltage overhead and underground power systems.Work with Designers and CAD Technicians to develop construction drawings in accordance with national design standards, safety codes and project specifications and requirements.Assist with preparing cost estimates or specifications.Participate in field reviews or construction observation.Typical designs include electrical layout design, cable heating calculations, fuse coordination, overhead and underground design, and development of bill of materials. Designs must also consider construction requirements.Occasional short-term travel (typically 1-5 days) may be necessary. Longer term (several weeks) assignments may be required infrequently on project assignments.Conduct QA/QC on the work of other Distribution Project Engineers or Distribution Coordinators.Perform other duties as needed.Preferred Qualifications

Minimum of four years experience related to medium-voltage or distribution-level design.Experience using engineering software for medium voltage design or analysis such as CYMCAP, CYMEDIST, Milsoft Windmil, PLS-Pole, SKM, and/or other related tools.Graduate Degree or Certificate in Electrical Engineering with a focus on power systems.Experience in the medium voltage design of large industrial facilities.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering.Professional Engineer (PE) license.Previous experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector.Computer skills in Microsoft Office as well as standard Power Market Sector design software (examples include PLS CAD, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, AutoPipe, and Revit).An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture.What We Believe
