Candidate should have experience as a Linux (SUSE/RedHat/Ubuntu) and Windows Systems AdministratorCandidate should have experience in maintaining VMWare infrastructure and working with VMware NSX-T environment.Experience with the below activities is a must as a Linux and Windows server administrator:Experience installing and maintaining OS, development software, and security toolsExperience patching OS/software using automated tools (BladeLogic, Yum)Create and maintain user and computer accounts and modify file permissions and security access lists.Experience with vulnerability management on Windows and Linux SystemsManage and maintain Linux and Windows servers, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security.Develop and implement patch management strategies for Linux and Windows systems to mitigate vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security policies.Deploy patches and updates in a timely manner across the infrastructure while minimizing disruption to operations.Monitor patching processes and systems for any issues or failures, troubleshooting and resolving them promptly.Collaborate with the IT security team to identify and prioritize critical patches and updates.Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and scans on Linux and Windows servers to identify potential risks.Document patch management processes, procedures, and configurations.Provide technical support and assistance to other team members as needed.Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and new patch management and system administration technologies.Participate in on-call rotation and respond to system emergencies and outages outside of regular business hours.Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, including ESXi and VCenter configuration), networking, and storage will be an added advantage.Candidate should be good at handling Incident and Service requests assigned to the team.Candidate should have participated in disaster recovery and business continuity tests and should be able to troubleshoot issues that may be encountered.Candidate should be able to coordinate with Application Developers/Support Team in analyzing and troubleshooting issues.Work under minimal direction and independently determine and develop approaches to complex IT solutions.Ability to work after hours and weekends as needed to meet the client's requirements.Requirements:1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience.2. Proven experience as a Linux and Windows Administrator, with a focus on patch management.3. Strong Linux and Windows operating systems knowledge, including system administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.4. Experience with patch management tools such as BladeLogic and Linux patch management solutions for SUSE / RedHat/ Ubuntu.5. Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation tasks related to patching.6. Solid understanding of network protocols, security principles, and best practices.7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.9. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.10. Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, CompTIA Linux+ or similar, are a plus.Preferred Qualifications:1. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.2. Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).3. Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.4. Understanding of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) framework principles.5. Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
