Copy Supervisor
will be responsible for generating ideas and running the day-to-day of the brand through to the finished product. The
Group
Copy Supervisor
works closely with creative and account teams to ensure adherence to client's marketing strategies and objectives within specified deadlines. The
Group Copy Supervisor
supervises junior writers on projects and works with an Art Supervisor in partnership to generate concepts.ResponsibilitiesStrategic ThinkingFull understanding of client's marketplace and can evaluate work in light of current marketing environmentAssists with tactical plan developmentMaintain awareness of budget requirements. Insure the best visualization of the product while staying within budget limitsAlert Account Services in advance when work exceeds budget and obtain appropriate approvals to follow throughParticipate in strategic and tactical meetings with client and account management to develop effective advertising campaigns reflecting the clients objectivesParticipate in "brainstorming" team meetingsExecutionReview and proofread all materials for consistency with editorial markupsPresent creative work to clientsSkillfully produces work across all channelsBoth manages and works independently while juggling multiple projectsOrganizes thoughts effectively and communicates them wellPlaces emphasis on quality control and adherence to deadlinesExhibits decisive problem solving abilityRelationship ManagementProvide support and supervision to copywriters on account(s)Follow-though and communicate with art team, producers, and editorial departments to ensure smooth flow of jobs to meet deadlinesDevelops strong internal relationships with creative supervisors and account counterpartsHas a solid client relationship; actively leads interactions with clients and forges bonds with stakeholdersBusiness ManagementCheck and approve all visual materials through all stages of pre-production and productionParticipate in new business presentationsEstablish rapport with client and be able to present ideas in an organized, professional and effective mannerProactively solve client problemsMaintain quality control over all copy elementsCopy should support layouts with attention-getting techniques and compelling storytellingRequirements5+ years of healthcare advertising agency experienceBA degree (Advertising, Communications, English, Biology, Neurology, Oncology and Genetics or related field preferred)A proven track record of creative ability and judgment, successful client contact experience, the ability to work collaboratively with account management, excellent presentation skills, successful experience in managing creative teams and multiple accounts, and the commitment to go the extra mile in time and effort to produce the very best workPortfolio available for consideration
