The role focuses on implementing and maintaining secure IT system administration practices specific to clearance environments. This is a hybrid role so there would be an expectation to be on-site regularly with occasional travel to other sites.Nationality RequirementsCandidates must be eligible to obtain the relevant security clearance required for the role, due to the nature of the programmes we deliver for our customers.Job DescriptionResponsibilities:Implement and maintain security controls for classified information systemsAssist in the configuration and administration of secure networks and systemsPerform routine security assessments and vulnerability scans on classified systemsParticipate in the implementation of security policies and procedures specific to classified environmentsAssist in monitoring security events and incidents within the classified networkSupport the accreditation and certification processes for classified systemsMaintain accurate documentation of system configurations and security controlsCollaborate with other team members to troubleshoot and resolve security issuesParticipate in security awareness training for system usersStay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats and mitigation strategies relevant to classified environmentsRequirements:Preferred QualificationsRelevant advanced certifications (e.g., CISSP, GIAC, CEH)Experience with security orchestration and automation toolsKnowledge of regulatory compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA)Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and analysisExperience in contributing to the design and implementation of security architecturesRequirements7+ years of cybersecurity experienceAdditional 5+ years of general IT experienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related fieldStrong understanding of network security, endpoint protection, and cloud security conceptsProficiency in using and managing SIEM tools and other security platformsExperience in creating security procedures, run books, and reportsDemonstrated ability to perform threat hunting and root cause analysisExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong leadership and mentoring abilitiesOutstanding communication skills, both written and verbalRequired to maintain security clearanceDiverse & Inclusive EmployerUltra Maritime is an equal opportunities employer that values diversity, inclusion, equity and equality.
