The Applications Engineer will work with internal and external stakeholders to define, develop, and support the software necessary for customers integrating Skyworks’ automotive radio and infotainment solutions.Detailed Description:Work activities will include but not be limited to the following:
Evaluation board/radio hardware designVerification and evaluation of products in development for compliance to device and system level requirementsWriting of datasheet and application notesAssist in troubleshooting and resolution of device production issuesWorking with customers and internal teams to define device level requirements and perform system tradeoff analysesWorking with quality team to support failure analysis.What Skills You Need:
Bachelor’s in Electrical/Computer EngineeringKnowledge of engineering fundamentals and methodologies.Written and verbal communication skills. This role requires active collaboration with our cross-functional teams and customers, so this is a critical skill.Experience with the use and automation of laboratory test equipment is strongly preferred.Ability to troubleshoot and debug hardware (PCBs, issues with equipment, etc.) and software.Experience working with Schematic and layout toolsExperience working with customers to develop and debug complicated software projectsExperience in object-oriented programming (Python, etc.).Familiarity with DSP concepts a plus.A great attitude with an eagerness to learn and facility to adapt to changes in plans and schedules.The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $62,600 - $114,800 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others. Employees are eligible to participate in an incentive plan, and certain roles are also eligible for additional awards, including recognition and stock.
