The Sensor Technology team develops cutting-edge sensor solutions and technologies that are central to Apple’s products. The team features a collaborative and hands-on environment that fosters engineering excellence, creativity, and innovation.DescriptionSensor technology scoping and proof-of-concept investigationsSupport Product definition, Market Surveys, Competitive AnalysisCollaborate across the board, with different technology teams to evaluate the System design options & trade-offsCross-functional leadership, guidance and mentoring to engineersSensor & Module design and modelingEnd-to-end application (sensor, signal processing, ASIC, algorithm configurations) definition and designOversee complete module design and execution, tracking various architectural and execution risks, schedule and inter-team collaborationReview and/or define algorithms for various signal and noise conditioning requirements -Design, prototyping and integration of Sensor, (rigid / flexible) PCBs and ASIC application -Optimize design across multi-disciplinary boundaries (e.g., Mechanical, Materials, Process, FW/SW/ Algorithms, Cal /Test, Reliability, Operations)Failure mode analysis, root cause diagnosis, and system-level problem solving -Statistical data analysis and data miningDesign analysis, characterization, and validationBusiness travel to support product developmentMinimum QualificationsMinimum requirement of a bachelors degreePreferred Qualifications
Strong logical thought process and analytical skill set. Ability to break-down complex problems fundamental blocks that can be analyzed via understanding of electro-magnetic interactionsElectrical engineering background in analog and mixed-signal design, especially board-level circuitsExcellent written and verbal communication skills and solid teamwork and leadership skillsProficiency in FEA (Comsol, ANSYS, Maxwell) MATLAB, SPICE, or similar simulation and modeling toolsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $115,700 and $174,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
