Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a
Principal Systems Engineer
/
Sr Principal Systems Engineer . This position is located in
Roy, UT
and supports the Sentinel program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
What You’ll Get To Do:
Provide technical oversight to major Sentinel subcontractor
Oversee subcontractor test program including but not limited to, test process and procedure creation, test readiness review, execution of test, creation of test report
Work with subcontractor to understand and apply system requirements to test events to ensure event will support requirement verification/validation
Assist in all phases of the system lifecycle including requirements application, design, test, fabrication, and implementation
Create technical reports and present technical information
Lead and mentor team members
Assistance in planning and scheduling activities
Interface with Air Force Customer
Interface with subcontractors
Basic Qualifications:
This requisition may be filled at either the Principal Engineer Systems level or Sr Principal Engineer Systems level.
Principal Systems Engineer : Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of experience with Bachelor's degree, 3 years of experience with Master's degree
Sr Principal Systems Engineer : Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 8 Years of related experience; 6 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD (with 2 years of Systems Engineering experience)
Required for Both Levels:
Must be a US Citizen with an
active DoD Secret Clearance , at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
Must have experience performing test events and test documentation
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Strong background in mechanical environmental testing such as static loading, shock and vibration
Active Top Secret Clearance
ICBM or Aerospace experience
Experience in ICBM Weapon Systems design and test
Experience with Space vehicle design and test

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Salary Range:
$92,600 - $139,000
Salary Range 2:
$114,900 - $172,300
