The Cybersecurity Engineer is a specialized field of system engineering that integrates cybersecurity requirements, engineering principles, and system design standards to ensure the architecture for DoD weapons systems, communications platforms, and information remains secure. You will use your systems engineering expertise review and assess of a wide range of complex weapon systems to identify technical risks within the systems cybersecurity posture. You will work with the system owner to develop and recommend appropriate mitigations to manage cybersecurity risks. Responsible for reviewing and assessing cybersecurity architectures across a variety of applications or domains for systems with large size, complexity, and risk. Partner with the DoD customers building these systems to guide them and to help them understand the cybersecurity trade space. Qualifications 5 years experience as a Cybersecurity Engineer on programs of similar scope / size. BS in Computer Science, System Engineering, or related STEM discipline OR 3 years experience as a Cybersecurity Engineer on programs of similar scope / size with MS in Computer Science, System Engineering, or related discipline OR 1 year as a Cybersecurity Engineer on programs of similar scope/size with a PhD or JD degree Required Certifications CompTIA Security + (required) One of more of the following (required) or within 6 months of start on contract: CPTE, CEH, CISA, CISSP Location: FANX Desired Qualifications Experience with Cybersecurity best practices and Threat–based Cybersecurity frameworks Experience providing system security engineering guidance for DoD customers Familiar with system authorization process and necessary security artifactsCreate a job alert and receive personalised job recommendations straight to your inbox.
