Lead Java DeveloperCognizant’s Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly qualified Lead Developer with strong background in Java, Spring Boot and Cloud platforms. Woonsocket - RI USA or Remote.Responsibilities
Work closely with the stakeholders to understand the business needs and technical requirements.Develop architectural blueprints and HDL alignment with business objectives and technology standards.Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and platforms to best fit the project requirements.Lead the design, development, and deployment of software solutions, act as a technical mentor for development teams.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the development team.Oversee code reviews to ensure code quality, performance, and security.Develop and maintain system architecture documentation.Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies.Ensure the timely delivery of projects while maintaining high coding standards and best practices.Stay current with emerging technologies and advocate for their adoption when beneficial.Facilitate communication between team members and other departments for seamless project integration.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.Technical Skills : JAVA, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate/JPA, Spring, MySqL, PostgresSQL,GIT, Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, Docker, Restful API, Junit.5-10 years of experience in software development, with at least 2-4 years in a leadership role.Proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks.Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and microservices architecture.Knowledge of agile development methodologies and experience leading agile teams.Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex technical challenges.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Proven track record of successful project delivery.Preferred Skills:
Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).Background in scalable, high-availability systems.Experience in both frontend and backend development.Soft Skills:

The annual salary for this position is between $81,337 to 163,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.Benefits:
