Monday - Friday, Shift: Days Job Description: Duties/Responsibilities
Assist with the development of a comprehensive Regulatory Readiness Program. Develop meaningful, relevant, measurable goals for departmental operation. Develop departmental plan based on ongoing evaluation of efficient and effective use of resources and meeting patient/family needs. Coordinate and integrate inter and intra-departmental services related to Survey Readiness and Patient Experience. Responsible for the formation, review, and revision of guidelines, policies, procedures, and programs in collaboration with operational leaders across SRC. Demonstrate effective human resource management skills for the attainment of departmental and hospital goals according to the mission and vision of the organization. Facilitate and support family-centered patient care activities across all of SRC. Identify organizational opportunities for further support staff development of Regulatory Readiness. Foster communication among individuals across the organization and coordinate internal activities to drive engagement in all aspects of survey readiness. Provide adequate time for staff to participate in performance improvement activities. Ensure a safe environment for staff, patients/families, and visitors through frequent rounds. Collaborate with the Chief Nursing Officer in oversight, development, implementation, and evaluation of organizational preparation and readiness for all regulatory requirements and patient experience efforts. Objectively evaluate staffing requirements and provide input to the annual operating budget. Effectively manage resources to stay within budget while providing support services that meet or exceed standards for quality. Required Skills/Abilities
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required; master's degree preferred. RN candidate must hold a current Texas RN license or be eligible for a temporary permit from the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners. Minimum of 4 years of progressive management experience required. Previous experience with regulatory readiness and patient experience preferred. Pediatric/Children’s Hospital experience preferred.
