Class A CDL Driver
to operate a variety of heavy and light duty trucks/work equipment at customer sites. The role involves driving and non-driving duties associated with hazardous waste clean-up. This position requires 35-50% overnight travel.Key Responsibilities:Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priorityOperate commercial trucks and assist field laborers when neededOperate a variety of Class A trucks, loading and unloading of trucksManual labor on site to ensure fulfillment of customer needsProper placarding of vehicles to meet Company and DOT requirements/regulationsMaintain daily logs, time sheets, and various reportsFollow all local, state (provincial) and federal compliance regulations and rulesSafely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state (provincial) and federal requirementsSafely observe all corporate operating guidelines and proceduresObserve all company environmental health and safety operating guidelinesRequired Qualifications:Valid Class A CDL with ability to obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsement within 90 days of employmentAbility to use various mobile devices and perform physical functions per job requirementsSuccessfully complete a background check, drug test, and physicalPer OSHA's Respiratory Protection Standard, employees in positions requiring respirators are required to meet facial hair standardsPreferred Qualifications:Commercial driver experience, Hazmat and Tanker endorsementPrevious Hazmat experience and ability to operate a manual transmissionPrevious manual labor experienceClean Harbors is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to providing access, equal opportunity, and reasonable accommodation for individuals with disabilities in employment.Clean Harbors is a Military & Veteran friendly company.
