Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group, Department of Ophthalmology, is seeking a BC Ophthalmologist fellowship trained in Glaucoma Surgery to join our full-time group of ophthalmic subspecialties and generalists as the Glaucoma Service Director. Ideal candidates will currently be at the academic rank of Associate Professor or eligible for promotion to Associate Professor level.Responsibilities include:Patient careResident teaching and supervisionMedical student teachingCoverage and call for subspecialty membersService level meetingsRecruitment strategy and other service itemsDevelopment and oversight of a Glaucoma fellowshipWe have a very busy group practice with satellite locations in Riverside, Banning, Rancho Cucamonga, and San Bernardino in addition to our main location in Loma Linda. Our group provides professional services at the Riverside University Health System as well, where we have an active resident training program. Our facilities are equipped with the most up-to-date equipment needed for diagnostic purposes. In the last 12-month period, as a group we had close to 60,000 billed visits.Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group is affiliated with Loma Linda University Medical Center, Children’s Hospital and School of Medicine with the mission to deliver whole-person care at a world-class level of clinical excellence. The Medical Center and Children’s Hospital has one of the largest academic teaching and clinical programs in the United States and serves a population of approximately 3.5 million people.Loma Linda University is located East of Los Angeles known as the Inland Empire. The beaches of Newport, Laguna, and Malibu are only 60-90 minutes to the West, with superb swimming, sunbathing, surfing, and sailing. Also 60 minutes to the West is downtown Los Angeles, with its top-quality restaurants, world-renowned museums, opera, and other cultural opportunities. The Big Bear Mountain Ski resort is about a 1-hour drive from LLU. The golf courses, shopping, and spas of Palm Springs are a 60-minute drive to the East and the world-class Mammoth Mountain resort is a 6-hour drive to the North.Compensation & BenefitsThe compensation range listed is for starting base compensation only and is adjusted based upon years of experience and/or faculty rank: $280,000 - $320,000. This amount does not include variable compensation or extra productivity and is subject to the individual department compensation plans.
