We’re working to improve shopping on Amazon using the conversational capabilities of large language models and are searching for pioneers who are passionate about AI and innovation in a fast-moving environment. You'll be working with talented scientists, engineers, and technical program managers (TPM) to innovate on behalf of our customers. Your focus will be in post-training problems and solutions including grounding, fine-tuning, and personalization. Key Job Responsibilities: Drive strategic investments in the applied science team while delivering impact in short-term iterations. Focus on post-training problems and solutions including grounding, fine-tuning, and personalization. Stay in tune with state-of-the-art and mentor other applied scientists. Minimum Qualifications: PhD or Master's degree and 6+ years of applied research experience. Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning. 3+ years of building machine learning models for business applications. Experience programming in Java, C++, Python, or related languages. Experience with modeling tools such as R, scikit-learn, Spark MLLib, MxNet, Tensorflow, numpy, scipy, etc. Experience with large-scale machine learning systems including profiling, debugging, and understanding of system performance and scalability.
