We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Production Stage Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience stage managing live productions of musicals and plays. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth coordination and execution of all production aspects, from rehearsals to live performances.
Key Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):Oversee all stage management activities, including rehearsals, performances, and technical elements.Collaborate closely with director, production and general management, house management, designers, crew and technical staff to maintain a cohesive production and safe/smooth-running operations.Develop and maintain rehearsal schedules, call sheets, In/Out tracking, and detailed prompt books.Communicate effectively with the cast and crew to keep everyone informed and prepared.Coordinate logistics for set changes, lighting and sound cues, and other technical elements during performances.Manage backstage operations, ensuring adherence to all stage and safety protocols.Assist in training and supervising production assistants and interns.
Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years of stage management experience, particularly in musicals and plays.Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.Exceptional leadership and communication skills.Ability to manage well and calmly in a crisis.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other common stage management software.Knowledge of technical theatre practices, including sound and lighting.Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.Must have a primary residence in the NYC/NJ/CT Tri-State local area.DURATION
