Employment Specialist
to join our dynamic team in

Join our team as we help DC residents secure meaningful employment and financial freedom!SUMMARY:The Employment Specialist shall have expertise in workforce development and career training for underserved populations. The Employment Specialist shall demonstrate excellent coaching, facilitation, and teaching skills, and focus on preparing individuals for employment through classroom instruction. By creatively mixing the training topics and modes of delivery, the Employment Specialist shall be responsible for creating a stimulating learning environment whereby individuals remain motivated throughout the employment preparation process.REQUIREMENTS:Education: Bachelor’s in psychology, administration, human resources, or related field preferred.Experience assisting individuals in preparing job search material such as resumes, cover letters, job applications, and references.Minimum three years of experience training individuals on job readiness skills.Facilitate and develop workshops and soft skills training aimed at assisting individuals secure and retain employment.Minimum three years providing guidance and counseling to individuals seeking employment.Assist in screening participants for job openings by reviewing records, observation, and interviewing.Experience supervising and job coaching individuals in employment settings and assisting individuals in meeting vocational goals.Ability to develop outcome measures for the program and track/compile data, assuring that program goals and outcomes are attained for the program and participants.Good communicator and a strong desire to help people.Ability to work in Microsoft Suite, G-Suite, and Adobe Pro applications.PAY RATE:$50k – $60k based on experienceHOURS OF OPERATION:Mon. – Fri. 8:30 am – 5 pm, except Federal HolidaysHOW TO APPLY:If interested in this opportunity, please apply on our website by visiting
