POSITION OVERVIEW
A “can-do” attitude, strong work ethic, and advanced problem-solving abilities are essential for success in this position.
This role is accountable for overseeing day-to-day and strategic planning for sourced finished goods in the Writing Division. This position’s primary focus will be on the 1-6 months horizon and play a key role in managing the supply across our nodes and have the right product, at the right time, in the right quantities, and in the right place to maximize our business and deliver an optimal customer experience. This role requires close collaboration with senior supply chain leadership, Demand, Transportation, Customer Service and Global Purchasing to meet our targets.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Day-to-day planning responsibilities for import and domestically sourced items, including transportation tracking, customer service communications, deployment, and allocation
Drive best-in-class service >98% on A items and 95% overall service
Work with global buyers on expedites and de-expedites to ensure service levels are met and optimal inventory is maintained
Escalate items with risk for allocation and manage the allocate to forecast process
Effectively communicate with customer service on risk to service, request on inventory and availability of product
Work with demand planning on changes to the plan that will pose risk to service or excess inventory
Identifying and communicating forward-looking constraints in our S&OE and S&D process meetings
Identifying inventory levels gaps, and pursuing corrective action to meet year-end goals
Partner with Transportation to monitor demonstrated transit times and lead efforts across the Writing Supply Chain to ensure SAP master data reflects demonstrated performance.
Maintain appropriate SAP parameters and updates required to maintain global best practices
Use ERP system to create, maintain, and execute detailed, short to mid-term distribution plans for multiple product categories to meet customer requirements, optimize inventory and balance warehouse capacity
Give instructions and coordinate with load planners, distribution centers and plant shipping teams regarding prioritization and expedited shipments
Partner with Customer Service and Supply Planning / Operations in understanding service impacts and developing action plans to increase on-time, quantity and line fill performance to our customer base

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
Four-year college degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related Analytical Discipline
3-5 years of supply chain and manufacturing work experience ideally in supply chain or operations for a CPG, durable, or professional products company.
QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS
Supply Chain/Inventory Planning experience
Self-starter who acts with a sense of urgency to drive results
Strong analytical skills demonstrating success in problem solving
Strong attention to detail
Strong communication skills, written and oral
Proven ability to collaborate across and lead a team to achieve results
Proven ability to coordinate and prioritize tasks
Highly Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel + Power BI and Power Point)
SAP (APO/ECC) experience preferred
Ability to listen and communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization
Continuous Improvement Mindset, with the ability to improve processes and gain efficiencies
This role will require building accountable collaboration across regions and internal functions

Hybrid office schedule requirement – Office 3 days/week & Remote 2 days/week
