Amazon's Legal Department is looking for a talented technology lawyer to support Amazon Web Services (AWS) sales to customers throughout the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region, with a primary focus on supporting customers and business leaders in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). AWS is at the forefront of the cloud computing industry, providing IT infrastructure services such as on-demand compute capacity, storage, content delivery, database, artificial intelligence, machine learning services, and more.The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting, negotiating, and advising on strategic technology service agreements with commercial and public sector customers and partners. Additionally, the candidate will provide legal support for local and regional services and initiatives, offering ongoing legal counsel, regulatory interpretation, and guidance for senior executives and other business and legal team members on a variety of matters related to product development, operations, security, compliance, and public policy.This role also includes participation in other legal team projects, managing legal issues in existing relationships, and addressing customer and business inquiries. We are seeking candidates who are innovative, hands-on, and highly customer-obsessed professionals, committed to developing innovative solutions to better serve our customers.The position is based in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and international travel may be required.Minimum Requirements
J.D., LLB or equivalent degree and admission to practice law in KSA or other civil law jurisdiction.Significant post-qualification legal experience (8+ years), including experience in KSA and relevant understanding of applicable KSA laws, regulations and Sharia principles.High degree of independence, initiative, judgment and creative thinking, as well as a desire to be challenged.Ability to effectively prioritize in a fast-moving environment.Excellent communication, drafting and negotiation skills.Arabic language native speaker and excellent English, both spoken and written.Familiarity with cloud computing, IT infrastructure and telecommunications.Experience in an In-house department at a technology company or a technology private practice.
