Principal Scientist – Proteomics and Chemical Biology

Location: Watertown, MA About You: Entact Bio is seeking a highly motivated leader to join our team. You will be responsible for establishing the strategy, implementation, and incorporation of chemo proteomics throughout our drug discovery efforts including data science. You will work cross-functionally with other leaders in the organization and develop the strategic vision for the proteomics platform at Entact Bio. This role will be a key member of discovery project teams and will be responsible for resourcing efforts using both internal and external resources including CROs, research institutions, and academic collaborators. Qualifications: Solid foundation in mass-spectrometry based proteomics

Direct, hands-on experience in method development, maintaining and troubleshooting for HPLC and/or mass spectrometers Direct, hands-on experience in proteomic sample preparation Direct, hands-on experience in post translational modification analysis

Demonstrated expertise in mass spectrometry techniques for protein identification and quantification Demonstrated expertise in developing quantitative and reproducible proteomics data sets to inform on molecular characterization in drug discovery programs Direct, hands-on experience with mass spectrometry data workflows through multiple commercial and/or open-source peptide sequence search engines. Proficiency with metadata analysis/integration using R/Matlab/Python and/or database schema is a plus Experience in working on project teams Understanding of how to best utilize MS-based proteomics to address scientific questions and educate the broader team Prior experience in characterizing heterobifunctional molecules or induced proximity with proteomics is a plus Prior experience in managing direct reports or providing scientific mentorship 7+ years of experience working in an industrial drug discovery environment As a member of this diverse and growing team, you will lend your insights, passion, and talent to the mission of translating this vision into novel therapeutics for the patients who need them the most.
