Labor and Employment Attorney

A law firm seeks an experienced Labor & Employment Attorney to join its esteemed practice in Morristown, NJ. This position is perfect for an attorney with a strong background in employment litigation and counseling, as well as traditional labor law, who is looking to further their career in a reputable environment.Duties:Represent management in employment litigation and related disputes.Provide expert legal counsel on employment law matters, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.Engage in collective bargaining and labor arbitration processes on behalf of clients.Handle cases before the National Labor Relations Board and the New Jersey Public Employment Relations Commission.Draft and review employment contracts, policies, and handbooks to protect client interests.Conduct training sessions for management on employment law and best practices.Stay updated on changes in labor and employment law to offer informed legal advice.Requirements:Minimum of 5 years of experience in employment litigation, counseling, and traditional labor law.Admission to the New Jersey Bar is required.Admission to the New York Bar is a plus.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Certifications:Active membership in the New Jersey Bar Association; New York Bar membership is preferred.Skills:Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective representation and client interaction.Exceptional analytical abilities to assess complex legal issues and develop strategic solutions.Proven experience in negotiating and mediating labor disputes.Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team.Proficiency in legal research and familiarity with employment law software and tools.
