The Payroll Specialist will be primarily responsible for processing payroll and assisting in the maintenance of the employee database regarding salary and pay.What You’ll DoFully own payroll processing, utilizing payroll software, inputs payroll submissions and appropriate review channels.Validates time-off requests and hourly employee timecardsProcesses irregular payments such as bonuses or other variable compensationAnswers employee questions related to payroll and resolves discrepancies timelyAssists to ensure that payroll practices meet government compliance requirementsFull ownership of tax jurisdiction filings, in conjunction with full-service relationship with payroll software provider, as well as tax notification tracking and managementCollaborate with HR and Finance to ensure accurate payroll dataStreamline payroll process within the payroll systemHandles complex issues or problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staffWork closely with Payroll Accounting team on ad hoc reporting, payroll reconciliations and data gatheringProcessing and issuing of W-2 forms to employees in collaboration with HRMonitor benefits feed initiated via payroll processingWhat You’ll BringAssociate or Bachelor’s degree preferred6+ years of related experience in a fast-paced environmentKnowledge of payroll industry software toolsExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skillsStrong computer literacy including Microsoft Office applicationsWhat We OfferCoverage on the first day of employment for medical, dental, and vision insurancePaid parental leave (16 weeks for primary caregiver and 8 weeks for secondary caregiver)Flexible PTO plan401k matching planHSA employer contributionsStudent loan assistanceAN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER:
