The Department of Access, Compliance, and Equal Opportunity (ACE) is looking for students interested in becoming FIU ACE Student Ambassadors who will advance the department's mission to uphold federal and state mandates for equal opportunity. Responsibilities include:Promoting and supporting the vision and mission of ACE.Facilitating conversations around access, compliance, and equal opportunity.Answering questions about the Department goals and attending campus events.Supporting the office with administrative tasks.Assisting with ACE initiatives and outreach programs.Engaging with diverse student populations.Conducting campus tours.Attending campus events and student-related meetings.Working with Department leadership on educational content.Participating in video content production.Providing additional support to the team as needed.Job Category
Federal Work StudyDesired Qualifications
A successful ACE Student Ambassador candidate will have the following qualifications:Ability to engage and listen with an open mind.Commitment to learning about equal opportunity.Strong written and communication skills.Excellent problem-solver.Active on social media.Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Canva, Outlook, etc.No disciplinary record within the University judicial system.Comfortable presenting before large crowds.Strong facilitation skills.Who May Apply
Students enrolled at FIU with Federal Work Study (FWS) eligibility.Must be enrolled with a minimum of six (6) credit hours.FWS employment must end upon credits decreasing or graduation.Work Schedule
Hours will vary based on class schedule and department needs.Advertised Salary
