MOVA’s voice across digital content to ensure consistency with external messaging strategies and social media presence, draft and distribute external communications, and interface across all networks and online platforms, supporting direct service for victims of crime.

The Digital Media Coordinator is a part of the

External Engagement Team and reports to the Director, External Engagement. This position serves as the coordinator for web development and social media strategy, creating engaging content, including photos and videos. The Digital Media Coordinator also collaborates within the External Engagement team to strategically incorporate MOVA’s policy agenda, training programs, events, and educational content into external communications.This position requires an individual with a passion for digital media to interface across all networks and online platforms while upholding the agency’s mission and values. The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator and writer who understands how to manage their time and workload while maintaining quality in their work across all platforms. This position requires routine travel across the state with primary work daily from home.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain a digital media strategy informed by overall external engagement strategy and analytics and integrate into external engagement planners to ensure consistent and timely dissemination of content.Inform and uphold MOVA’s brand, voice, and visual identity across all digital channels and within written communications.Assist in updating contact lists in Constant Contact, managing the scheduling of content, and other tasks related to maintaining consistent and streamlined communications across platforms.Lead the graphic development, editing, inventory tracking, printing, and distribution of outreach and program materials and content, such as the Victim Services Bulletin, external newsletters, brochures, fact sheets, accompanying event material, and agency-wide updates.Prepare unique content proposals for social media campaigns in a timely manner.Actively manage MOVA’s social media presence and create digital content across networks (e.g., Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn); respond to comments/messaging when needed.Create static and motion graphic content on multiple platforms.Stay up to date with emerging news through digital media monitoring of external partners relevant to victim services and identify opportunities for engagement.Collect quantitative and qualitative data analytics from digital platforms, create quarterly reports, analyze data, and recommend and implement changes, where necessary.Collaborate with internal teams to inform digital media content and communication plans to ensure content is timely, up to date, accurate, and consistent with MOVA’s branding, voice, and annual priorities.Draft external communications at the direction of the Director of External Engagement to ensure consistency in voice, tone, and brand when communicating with a variety of stakeholders.Monitor and update MOVA’s presence on mass.gov (Massachusetts Office for Victim Assistance, askMOVA, and Garden of Peace) and respond to feedback feature when needed.Support internal and external events by providing a communication strategy involving social media coverage, capturing photos, videos, etc. and posting real-time content.At the direction of Director of External Engagement, attend community events to represent MOVA, capture digital content, and share relevant educational materials.Additional Information·

Salary range of $55,000 - $60,000 annually·

Position is primarily work from home with occasional travel throughout MA, including to MOVA office locations in Boston and Northampton.QualificationsMinimum of two years of relevant professional work experience; a degree may substitute for up to one year of professional experience.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Experience in building marketing and/or social media campaigns.Strong attention to detail and overall organizational skills.Demonstrated ability to take initiative, be self-motivated, resourceful, and flexible.Proven ability to work under pressure, establish and meet deadlines, and meet deliverables.Ability to interact and collaborate successfully with many different personality types and to effectively develop and maintain strong working relationships across all levels within the agency and outside the agency.Experience creating multimedia content, including video and graphics, and experience with programs like Canva, Adobe InDesign, Premiere Elements, Hootsuite, and Constant Contact.Experience in filming and utilizing video editing software.Experience in social and online media management, reporting, and analytics.Commitment to furthering the agency’s overall mission.Valid driver’s license. Travel through Massachusetts required.Familiarity with utilizing digital media analytics to inform strategy.Familiarity with direct services programming (e.g., social services, sexual and domestic violence services, etc.).Work Product SamplesPlease be prepared to provide samples of previous work products.
