We are looking for a strategically minded and collaborative leader for a unique Chief of Staff opportunity supporting the Chief Technologist in the COO organization. You will act as a strategic advisor and operational powerhouse, partnering with the leadership teams across DXC, the COO Architects, and the Technology PMO. You will manage operating models, meeting and decision-making structures, strategic planning roadmaps, and quarterly business metrics.This role is critical to our success, requiring active management of ongoing business changes, support for team goals, and constant optimization of operations. The ideal candidate will have a track record of building high-performing teams and enjoy working in a technology-focused organization.This position offers flexibility, allowing for on-site, hybrid, or remote work anywhere in the United States or Canada, with up to 50% travel to office locations and Autodesk-sponsored events.ResponsibilitiesStrategic Planning:
Spearhead the strategy and planning cycles to enhance our business context and ensure alignment across all teams. Facilitate critical executive meetings and workshops, synthesizing diverse perspectives into cohesive, actionable strategies. Define and refine operational strategies for data-driven initiatives.
Operational Excellence:
Design and refine cross-functional processes to boost organizational agility and performance. Manage operating models to ensure the team has the right structure, accountabilities, and governance. Drive change management practices to support the transition to a data-driven organization.
Project Leadership:
Lead strategic projects ranging from technical integration of acquired businesses, product innovation to cultural initiatives, including team development, employee recognition, and new systems and processes to streamline team efficacy.
Executive Partnership:
Serve as a trusted partner to the Chief Technologist and senior leadership, providing insightful analysis and representation in key discussions. Act as a proxy for the Chief Technologist in meetings, address inquiries, create draft documents and manage executive communications in collaboration with our communications partner.
Leadership Meetings:
Plan and facilitate team and cross-team leadership meetings and off-sites. Formulate topics, build and advise agendas, guide discussions, compile notes and action items, and follow up as appropriate.
Employee Engagement:
Champion employee engagement for the team. Ensure measurable goals are developed for programs and that they support our objectives.
Advisory Role:
Be an advisor to the Chief Technologist and leadership teams, serving as a trusted sounding board on matters of strategy and operations. Help develop team charters/missions and track team priorities to surface issues and roadblocks early on, understand complex issues and recommend solutions while maintaining objectivity.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with the COO Chief of Staff cohort and operate as a leader within the broader organization.
Team Management:
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team. Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, set clear team goals, delegate tasks, and monitor team performance.
Minimum QualificationsAt least 10 years of experience in product operations, program management, management consulting, or strategic planning within a high-tech environment. Strategy development experience and experience in GTM teams or SaaS companies is a plus.Bachelor's degree required; MBA or MS preferred.Demonstrated success in leading complex, cross-functional projects and initiatives.Skilled team builder and facilitator, adept at establishing consensus in complex, matrixed environments.Successful background in building and galvanizing effective teams.Experienced in building C-level presentations with excellent communication skills.Highly proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel; familiarity with Asana or other project management tools is preferred.
