The candidate should be eager to stay updated on new technologies and their legal implications. DC Bar membership or eligibility to waive in is required within one year of joining the firm.Duties and Responsibilities:Draft and negotiate intellectual property (IP) and technology contracts, including licensing agreements, technology transfers, and confidentiality agreements.Handle IP litigation, including preparing and filing pleadings, managing discovery, and representing clients in court.Advise clients on a range of IP issues, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.Conduct legal research and analysis on evolving technologies and related legal issues.Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop strategies for IP protection and enforcement.Monitor and stay informed about developments in IP law and technology trends.Provide guidance on regulatory compliance and risk management related to IP and technology matters.Demonstrate leadership and initiative in managing cases and projects.Requirements:2+ years of experience in an IP and technology practice.1+ years of experience in drafting IP and technology contracts preferred.Strong academic background with excellent analytical and writing skills.Detail-oriented with the ability to manage complex legal issues and demonstrate leadership.Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and associated legal challenges.DC Bar membership or eligibility to waive in within one year of joining the firm.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.Certifications:Membership in the DC Bar or eligibility to waive in within one year of employment.Skills:Proficient in drafting and negotiating IP and technology contracts.Experience in IP litigation and handling complex IP matters.Outstanding analytical and writing skills.Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.Leadership and initiative in legal practice and case management.Ability to stay updated on new technologies and evolving legal issues.Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interactions.Company infoBCG Attorney Search1629 K ST NW, Suite 300WashingtonDistrict of ColumbiaUnited States 20006Phone :
