DutiesCandidates should have demonstrated experience in working effectively with multiple levels within DoD from installation to Major Command (MAJCOM), as well as the ability to communicate effectively and make presentations in small group, technical interchange sessions and to senior leadership.SKILLS:A bachelor's or higher degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or similar field that includes the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks is desired, but not required.Three years of experience directly related to at least one of the specialty areas described below is preferred.Primary: System Administrator

Installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining hardware, software, and administers system accounts.

Additional: Information Systems Security Manager

Oversees the cybersecurity program of an information system or network, including managing information security implications within the organization, specific program, or other area of responsibility, to include strategic, personnel, infrastructure, requirements, policy enforcement, emergency planning, security awareness, and other resources.

Additional: Technical Support Specialist

Provides end users tiered-level customer support by coordinating software, hardware, and network. May install, configure, troubleshoot, and provide maintenance and training.

SPECIALTY AREAS (Not All-Inclusive):OPERATE & MAINTAIN:

Provide the support, administration, and maintenance necessary to ensure effective and efficient IT system performance and security, in areas such as in data administration, network services, systems administration, and systems analysis.OVERSEE & GOVERN:

Provide leadership, management, direction, or development and advocacy so the organization may effectively conduct cybersecurity work, in areas such as acquisition and program/project management, cybersecurity management, and strategic planning & policy.PROTECT & DEFEND:

Identify, analyze, and mitigate threats to internal IT systems and/or networks, in areas such as cyber defense analysis, cyber defense infrastructure support, incident response, and vulnerability assessment & management.SECURELY PROVISION:

Conceptualize, design, procure, and/or build secure IT systems, with responsibility for aspects of system and/or network development in areas such as risk management, software development, systems architecture/development, systems requirements planning, and test & evaluation.RequirementsU.S. Citizenship RequiredIf authorized, PCS will be paid IAW JTR and AF Regulations. If receiving an authorized PCS, you may be subject to completing/signing a CONUS agreement.The employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays, and overtime and/or emergency overtime may be required.Locations are not negotiable. The actual duty locations available may be located on the Air Force Civilian Service website.Employee must meet Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements, which includes achieving Engineering and Technical Management "Practitioner" certification category within required timeframe after appointment.This is a drug testing designated position.
