DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a
Senior Cloud Engineer
to join our US Transportation Command - GTP-GOPAX team. The Senior Cloud Engineer will lead the cloud migration and refactoring efforts, working on critical cloud infrastructure that aligns with USTRANSCOM objectives. The role involves designing, deploying, and optimizing cloud-native environments using AWS services, ensuring performance, security, and scalability. This individual will be responsible for architecting cloud-based solutions and maintaining enterprise DevSecOps pipelines to expedite new code deliveries.This position is onsite at Scott AFB.Duties & Responsibilities
Lead the design and deployment of cloud-native infrastructure, with a focus on microservices and containerized environments (Kubernetes, Docker).Develop and implement a detailed application migration strategy to transition legacy systems to cloud-based environments, including data migration, architecture design, and gap analysis.Support the refactoring of legacy applications to ensure efficient operation in cloud environments. This includes leveraging AWS services, microservices, and containerization.Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Terraform, and CloudFormation to automate infrastructure and application deployment in a secure, scalable manner.Ensure cloud environments comply with DoD security standards such as DISA STIGs/SRGs, FedRAMP, and NIST RMF. Conduct security scans and maintain evidence of compliance.Utilize orchestration and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform) to ensure smooth deployments and efficient operations across environments.Perform load testing and implement automated scaling to ensure system usability for up to 1,200 concurrent users in GOPAX environments.Maintain technical documentation for cloud infrastructure, DevSecOps pipelines, and system configurations, ensuring alignment with USTRANSCOM's Digital Modernization Strategy.Work closely with government stakeholders, development teams, and other contractors to optimize cloud architecture and troubleshoot cloud-related issues.Qualifications
Active Secret Clearance.Must hold an active an IAT Level II certification; CompTIA Security+ CE highly preferred.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud engineering, focusing on AWS or other cloud platforms.AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Engineer, or Azure Administrator highly preferred.Experience with cloud-native architectures, microservices, and containerization (Kubernetes, Docker).Expertise in cloud migration strategies, including developing migration roadmaps, and handling refactoring activities.Strong understanding of cloud security practices, including experience with tools like Fortify, Nessus, and SonarQube.Proficient in using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Ansible.Familiarity with DevSecOps pipelines and cloud orchestration practices.Experience with cloud security and automation in DoD environments, including DISA STIGs, RMF, and FedRAMP compliance.
