CAS is currently seeking Bioinformatics Scientist Interns for Summer 2025 in the Content Operations Division. This position would be located in our headquarters in Columbus, Ohio. The program will run May 19th-August 8th 2025.
Job Accountabilities:Support analysis, visualization and interpretation of a drug development, medical biology, or related dataset.Support harmonization, normalization, or enhancement of CAS content for delivery to products, content pipelines, or business solutions.Connect across the organization through the Summer Intern Program to build influential working relationships, preparing your career for tomorrow.Stay abreast of the latest trends through individual and team training opportunities.
Qualifications:Pursuing a degree in bioinformatics, computational biology, biostatistics, or closely related field.Proficiency in a high-level programming language such as R or Python within Unix-like environment.Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.Excellent communication, collaboration, and data presentation skills.Background in molecular biology, immunology, genetics, or other relevant biomedical domains is a plus.Experience with technologies such as GitHub, Java, Linux, and pathway visualization software like Pathview, GSEA is a plus.Experience in applying machine learning to large datasets is a plus.Familiarity with data modeling is a plus.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
