As an IT Desktop Support, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the site's IT infrastructure, ensuring its smooth operation, security, and scalability as well as managing our database systems. Your role will involve a mix of responsibilities in IT support and maintenance of our servers. You will work closely with a team of engineers, ensuring that their IT needs are met, and database systems are effectively maintained.
What You Will Do* Provide on-site IT support at Bridgewater location and a manufacturing facility in Zhuhai, China.* Responsible for the administration of workstations, servers (Windows and Linux), software and licensing, and managing backup and recovery plans* Work with members of the team to recommend and help purchase computer hardware and software* Work with the team to resolve vendor software issues* Coordinate with corporate IT to manage local network (wired and wireless) including physical network infrastructure* Provide technical support for Linux-based systems, servers, and infrastructure* Monitor system performance, troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues to ensure optimal uptime and efficiency* Implement and maintain network security measures to protect against unauthorized access, viruses, and other security threats* Administer user accounts, permissions, and access rights in accordance with company policies and procedures* Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for reference and training purposes* Provide system administration functions for MES and ERP database system and servers, including updates, backups, recovery, user maintenance, maintaining security
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field* Experience configuring and managing Windows and Linux operating systems* Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware ESX or Hyper-V* Experience with network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN* Experience with shell and batch file scripting* Familiar with Domain Controller, RAID, Network File Systems and Backup software* This role is not eligible for sponsorship.
