How we LEAD: Universal Music Group (UMG) currently has an opening for a Senior Director, Fund Accounting & Administration position within its Central Accounting Services (CAS) division. This position will be responsible for the fund accounting, administration, and investor reporting responsibility for music investment funds that are managed by UMG. The ideal candidate will have 10-12 years of combined general ledger, fund accounting, and/or corporate reporting experience, must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, and CPA credentials are preferred. This role works a Hybrid schedule in office 3 days a week.

How you’ll CREATE: In this role, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in a broad array of accounting, analysis and reporting activities, including:

Liaise with third-party fund administrators and service providers that support accounting and financial reporting processes

Coordinate and oversee the preparation of quarterly NAV and closing packages

Review calculations of management and other fund related fees

Manage the financial close process and ensure financial statements are prepared in accordance with US GAAP

Review monthly reporting package and various analyses (income statement/balance sheet) prepared by staff to validate the monthly close

Create and review partner capital calls, monthly and quarterly partner capital statements including calculation of partner allocations

Calculate and review waterfall models, distribution notices, and management fees

Lead quarterly forecasts and annual plan process

Liaise with internal or external auditors and provide audit deliverables and inquiry resolution

Support special projects, process improvement initiatives & annual compliance testing

Supervise, train, and review the work of a growing team of Fund Accountants

Bring your VIBE:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting a must, CPA or MBA preferred

10 to 12 years of broad general ledger accounting or corporate reporting experience, with at least 5 to 7 years of fund accounting experience within large investment firms or financial institutions

Experience with ERP, fund accounting or similar general ledger applications

Strong Excel & Word skills required

Strong analytical skills required; along with attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task and work under pressure to meet deadlines

Possess strong oral and written communication skills

Authorized to work in the US

Salary Range: $134,190 - $244,218
