Chief Executive Officer (CEO) . Reporting to the Board of Directors, the
CEO
is the senior administrator for the organization.
Organization:LRHC , an award-winning rural critical access hospital, is a 25-bed hospital district governed by a five-member board of directors.

provides specialties such as cardiology, ophthalmology, dermatology, orthopedic, pain management, podiatry, pulmonology, ENT, OB/Maternity, Spine, women’s health, men’s health, urology, mental health, nephrology, and wound care.
LRHC
generated close to $44 million in net patient revenue in fiscal year 2023, and through March 2024, the organization has increased operating revenue by 9.5% compared to last year.
LRHC’s
primary service area includes Dawson, Phelps, and Gosper counties, serving approximately 35,000 residents.
LRHC , employing almost 300 staff members, includes more than 33 physicians and advanced practice providers. Care is provided at the main campus and state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Lexington, as well as at the Bertrand Clinic in Bertrand, NE, and the Elwood Clinic in Elwood, NE.
In April 2014,
LRHC
broke ground on what is now the Outpatient Services Center. This project enhanced all aspects of the patient and visitor experience, including a complete transformation of the dining area, renovations of the front entrance and main lobby, and conversion of all patient rooms to private rooms. Major upgrades to the mechanical, electrical, and air-handling systems were also included.
The Community:Lexington, NE , home to almost 11,000 residents, is the county seat of Dawson County and one of the fastest-growing counties in Nebraska, with a population increase of 37% since 1990. The business climate in Lexington is consistently strong, with Tyson Foods as the largest employer, employing over 2,700 individuals. The community also supports several other industries and businesses.
Lexington was recognized in 2021 as one of the Top 10 Affordable Small Towns Where You’d Actually Want to Live by Realtor.com. The city offers many activities for families and visitors, including community parks and the Lexington Family Aquatic Center. In 2015, the Orthman Community YMCA facility was opened through a partnership between the YMCA of the Prairie, Lexington Community Foundation, and Lexington Public Schools. Additionally, Lexington features Mac’s Creek Winery & Brewery, one of Nebraska’s largest wineries.
Johnson Lake State Recreation Area, located just 10 miles south of Lexington, offers excellent camping, fishing, and water sports opportunities. This area provides fine outdoor recreation, especially when combined with nearby attractions.
Responsibilities:The
CEO
is responsible for managing all operations of the organization. The
CEO
will lead strategic planning, monitor organizational performance, oversee management functions, ensure compliance, lead risk management, and oversee the senior executive team. Additionally, the CEO will communicate, clarify, interpret, and operationalize the mission and values of the hospital with all constituencies, including the Board of Directors, Medical Staff, Leadership staff, employees, patients, visitors, and the community.
