Reporting into the Regional Manager, the
Site Manager
will supervise, lead and control, in part, operational tasks relating to the yard. They will respond effectively to quality and productivity and health and safety requirements. They will see to the planning of operations and collaborate with management to continuously optimize and improve processes.What you're responsible for:
Setting goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with company’s plans and vision and communicate them to subordinates.Organizing workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks.Monitoring employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching.Maintaining timekeeping and personnel records.Sharing information from upper management to employees and vice versa.Preparing and submitting performance reports.Ensuring adherence to legal and company policies and procedures.Undertaking disciplinary actions if the need arises.Leading by example as a hands-on manager.Qualifications
Proven experience as supervisor will be considered an asset.Experience in metal scrap industry will be considered an asset.Knowledge of different commercial trucks and forklifts.Ability to learn a variety of job descriptions.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Outstanding organizational and leadership skills.Good knowledge of Outlook, MS Office, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel.Always strives for excellence and constant improvement.HEALTH AND SAFETY
Must work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation and follow in accordance with AIM’s Health and Safety policies and procedures.Responsible for reporting all accidents, illnesses, or ‘near miss’ incidents to management.HOURS OF WORK
Permanent full-time position.Monday-Friday.What we offer:
