This position will report to the Regional Planning Director. The candidate must have the ability to work in a team setting with a wide variety of professionals and handle multiple priorities and requests. The candidate must bring a positive attitude and will be highly motivated with strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. The candidate also will need the ability to communicate complex concepts concisely and effectively for stakeholder alignment.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Coordinates the commercial aspects of refinery operations, including feedstock selection, product and intermediate placement, supply chain optimization, and market analysis.Demonstrates a fundamental understanding of refinery operations, economics, and market dynamics. Develops and communicates strategies that capture missed opportunities and closes production optimization gaps.Assists in developing decision-making frameworks and presenting findings to stakeholders.Assists in developing backcast models and scenarios to evaluate past performance and identify optimization opportunities.Conducts project support cases independently under supervision.Demonstrates understanding of refinery operations and commercial aspects of projects. Able to analyze data, identify issues, and propose solutions with guidance. Collaborates with team members to execute project support tasks effectively.Collaborate with Feedstock and Product Commercial teams, Refining, and Logistics organizations in the development and execution of regional value chain operating plans ensuring short- and medium-term operating objectives and plans are aligned.Assist in the development, implementation, operation, and maintenance of various modeling and optimization tools and processes, including forecasting, lookback and post-audit tools and processes.Utilize optimization tools and processes to collaborate in cross-organizational teams to optimize feedstock selection, logistics, operating plans, and product distribution.Develop an in-depth understanding of regional value drivers and optimization mechanisms across the value chain.Coordinate the development of the five-year business plan material balance and support project justification.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering required.Three (3) years relevant experience. Technical Services or Economics & Planning experience.Previous Linear Programming (LP) modeling experience is strongly preferred.LOCATION:San Antonio is preferred, but if the applicant is at a West location (Salt Lake City, Anacortes, Los Angeles, El Paso, or Kenai), relocation may not be required.Relocation to SAT will be considered if the candidate is outside of a West location.The successful candidate will be placed at a level commensurate with experience and qualifications.We are looking to fill 2 open positions with this job posting.As an energy industry leader, our career opportunities fuel personal and professional growth.Location:
